Teacher Gifts - 2007
I have two daughters in elementary school (pre-school and first grade).
My wife asked if I could make some pens that she could use as teacher gifts this year.
Not wanting to just make some boring pens, I decided that now would be the perfect opportunity to try some new techniques. Aside from the new designs, I have also used a CA/BLO satin finish on each of the pens.
Here is the collection.

 | Here are 10 of the 13 completed pens. The remaining three consisted of two more segmented Walnut and Maple pens and one Sapele with a Maple celtic knot. They have all now been gift wrapped and are ready for distribution. This was a fun collection to work on. I tried a few new techniques including a new finishing process. I'm really happy with the results and hope each one is enjoyed. |
